Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Prism app and prismhealthco.com (together, “Prism”). Prism is operated by Prism Digital Ventures Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”).

We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17249642. Registered office: 32 Lattimore Road, St Albans, AL1 3XW, United Kingdom. Email: hello@prismhealthco.com.

Please read these terms before creating an account or purchasing a subscription. By creating a Prism account after being presented with these terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or purchase a subscription.

2. Who can use Prism

You must be at least 16 to use Prism. Where local law requires a parent or legal guardian’s consent to your use of Prism or entry into this agreement, you must have that consent. Subscription purchases must also meet applicable Apple account, age and parental-consent requirements.

You may use Prism only where doing so is lawful. You must provide accurate account information, keep your login details secure and tell us promptly if you suspect someone has accessed your account without permission.

3. What Prism provides

Prism helps you see changes in your health data alongside your supplements and lifestyle choices. It suggests supplements and lifestyle changes in relation to your selected goals and the information available to it, and presents progress using available data, including data you choose to share through Apple Health. The limitations in section 4 apply to these suggestions and insights.

We do not sell supplements or earn commission when you purchase them.

The features included in your subscription are described before purchase. Your purchase does not include a commitment to deliver unreleased features unless they are expressly included in the offer. This does not limit any features, updates or remedies we must provide under your purchase terms or applicable law.

4. Health information and its limitations

Prism provides general health and wellbeing information. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.

Changes shown in your data do not establish that a particular supplement or lifestyle change caused an outcome. Sleep, activity, illness, medication and other factors may affect your results. Prism does not guarantee a particular health benefit or that a supplement is suitable, safe or effective for you.

Supplement information and suggestions may not account for every interaction, condition or individual circumstance. The absence of a warning does not mean a supplement is safe for you. Follow product labels and seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing supplements, particularly if you take medication, have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are under 18.

Do not change prescribed treatment, disregard professional advice or delay seeking medical care because of information in Prism. Prism does not monitor you for emergencies. Contact local emergency services if you need urgent medical assistance.

These limitations describe what Prism is for. They do not exclude any standard of care, responsibility or consumer right that applies under mandatory law.

5. Apple Health and other services

Some features require a compatible device, internet access and relevant Apple Health data. The usefulness of those features depends on the availability, quality and completeness of that data and on the permissions you choose to grant. Missing or inaccurate measurements can affect the information shown. Without sufficient suitable data, Prism may be unable to provide meaningful comparisons.

You can manage health-data permissions through your device settings. Withdrawing permission may limit features that depend on that data. Withdrawing permission does not itself cancel your subscription; to stop renewal, cancel separately as explained in section 6.

Apple and other third-party services operate under their own terms. We do not control their availability or changes to their services. This does not exclude responsibility for our own acts or omissions where the law makes us responsible.

6. Subscriptions and payment

Prism Membership is purchased through Apple’s App Store. Your selected billing period, the price, included features and any trial or introductory offer are shown before you confirm your purchase. Apple processes payments through your Apple account.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. To avoid the next renewal charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends; any later cancellation right under Apple’s terms or applicable law still applies. Any trial or introductory offer, its duration, eligibility and subsequent subscription price are shown before purchase. Cancel at least 24 hours before a trial or introductory offer ends if you do not want it to renew.

To manage or cancel your subscription, open your iPhone’s Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Prism. You can also open Apple’s subscription-management screen from your Prism profile. Cancelling renewal leaves paid access available until the end of the paid period shown by Apple, unless your account is deleted or the purchase is refunded. Cancelling a free trial may end access immediately.

Deleting the app or deleting your Prism account does not cancel your Apple subscription. Cancel the subscription separately to prevent future charges.

For purchases billed by Apple, request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com. Eligibility is determined by applicable law and Apple’s purchase terms. Cancelling renewal does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund or credit for unused time in a paid period. We do not offer a separate money-back guarantee or an additional refund if Apple declines a request. This does not affect a refund or other remedy that you are legally entitled to claim against us; contact hello@prismhealthco.com about any such claim.

For UK and EEA purchases, an applicable 14-day withdrawal right is subject to the local purchase terms and lawful exceptions, including where supply of digital content starts at your express request with your acknowledgement that you lose that right. Acknowledging these terms alone does not waive it. Apple’s local purchase terms explain how to withdraw from an Apple-billed purchase.

Subscription prices for future billing periods may change to reflect changes in the costs of providing Prism, applicable taxes, exchange rates or the features included. A change will not alter a period already paid for. The new price, effective date and cancellation option will be notified in accordance with Apple’s rules and applicable law, and any required consent will be obtained. Required subscription notices may be delivered by Apple or by us.

7. Your privacy and information

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, how long we retain it and how you can exercise your rights.

Accepting these terms does not, by itself, give consent to optional marketing or to processing that requires separate consent. We will request that consent separately where required.

You retain any rights you have in information you provide. We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and in accordance with applicable data-protection law. We do not sell your personal information or use your health information for advertising. If you choose to share information outside Prism, review what you share and with whom; the recipient’s handling of that copy is outside our control. This does not exclude our own legal responsibilities.

8. Acceptable use and ownership

Use Prism for your personal, lawful purposes. Do not misuse another person’s account, upload malicious software, attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the service or use automated tools to extract data without permission. Do not upload information you have no right to share or use the service to infringe another person’s rights.

Prism’s software, designs, branding and content belong to us or our licensors. Your access allows you to use the service; it does not transfer ownership. Do not resell, redistribute or copy the service, or reverse engineer it, except where permitted by applicable law.

The licence for the iOS app, including content and services accessed or purchased within it, is governed by Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement, including the regional version applicable to your purchase. Apple’s licence and regional purchase terms are available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes. We are the application provider and licensor of Prism under that agreement. These terms supplement the licence with Prism-specific service terms. They do not replace the licence or create additional warranties or compensation entitlements. Neither document overrides mandatory consumer rights; the protections in section 11 apply to both. Apple’s applicable usage and purchase rules also apply.

9. Service availability and changes

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, technical faults and events outside our reasonable control may interrupt availability. We do not provide a service-level agreement, guaranteed response or resolution time, or availability credits. This does not limit any service standard, update obligation or remedy required by applicable law.

We may update Prism to fix faults, improve security, comply with law or make technical improvements. Changes to paid features, or discontinuation of the service, remain subject to applicable law and your existing purchase terms, including any required notice, consent, cancellation right or remedy.

10. Closing or suspending an account

To request account deletion, select “Delete my account” in Prism and confirm. Information is deleted or retained as explained in our Privacy Policy. Deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription: cancel that separately.

Inactive accounts and associated data are retained or deleted as explained in our Privacy Policy, based on the purposes for which the information is needed, applicable legal requirements and your privacy rights.

We may restrict, suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary to address a security risk, fraud, unlawful activity, a serious breach of these terms or use by someone under 16. We will provide any notice and opportunity to resolve the issue required by law. Immediate restriction or suspension may be necessary to protect users or comply with law.

Account closure does not remove any cancellation, refund or other remedy required by applicable law. You can contact hello@prismhealthco.com to query a suspension or closure. Cancel any subscription billed by Apple separately.

11. Our responsibility to you

We do not provide a separate guarantee of health results, uninterrupted service or compensation beyond our legal and contractual obligations. Any warranty exclusion or liability limit in the app licence applies only to claims it can lawfully cover, subject to the protections below.

Prism is supplied for personal, non-commercial use. We are not responsible for losses arising from business or commercial use, including lost profits or business opportunities. This exclusion does not apply where the law prevents it.

Nothing in these terms or the app licence excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory rights concerning faulty or misdescribed digital content, services not supplied with the legally required care and skill, and qualifying damage to your device or other digital content remain unchanged. Remedies apply where the law provides them, subject to that law’s conditions.

12. Updates to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in law, security requirements or permitted changes to Prism. We will notify you of material changes by email or another legally permitted method, with the advance notice required by law. Urgent legal or security changes may take effect sooner where the law permits.

We will obtain your agreement where required by law. If a change gives you a legal right to cancel or obtain a refund, that right remains available. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights you have already acquired.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms, and any dispute between you and us about Prism, are governed by the law of England and Wales. This does not change your separate agreement with Apple. You retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Courts in England and Wales have jurisdiction, without limiting any right under mandatory law to bring proceedings in your local courts.

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. We may transfer our rights and obligations in connection with a transfer or reorganisation of the business, subject to any notice, consent or other protection required by applicable law.
